You're away from it all - while right in the middle of everything! You'll love staying here because of the spectacular 360˚ views on a private 15-acre property. You'll have the entire cabin and canyon with our walking trails to yourself, rock hunters will love the abundance of agate rocks around the property. Conveniently and easily accessible right off of Hwy 89. Our place is good for couples, friends, solo adventurers, families, and is dog friendly. (Note: no A/C)

Two private bedrooms (1-king and 1-queen) and two full bathrooms. Full kitchen and living room area. Outdoor deck has a couple small tables, plenty of chairs, and a gas grill for cooking.
Note cabin is off grid, power comes from a top of the line energy efficient Honda generator and a 500 gallon propane tank. Our place has an open floor plan, great for cooking and hanging out in the living room with friends and family. No neighbors, no noise, just have fun and enjoy the peaceful outdoors.
Walking trails up into Rock Canyon are directly accessed from the backyard. Note these walking trails are not accessible other than through this property, there is no pass through traffic. Bring your dog(s) off leash on our walking trails, they will love it. Grab your fishing poles and walk to a secret tunnel that goes under Hwy 89 and go trout fishing in the Sevier river. If you have your own ATV you are welcome to bring it with you and drive it on our trails.
Hatch (4 miles South) and Panguitch (7 miles North) are the closet towns. Both offer great places to eat and some unique shopping stores. Some of our favorite places to eat in Panguitch are: C-Stop Pizza and Cowboys Smokehouse, and Kenny Ray's. Note many local businesses are closed on Sundays and many restaurants close before 8pm. Major retail stores like Walmart are located in Cedar City about 1 hour away.
Our property has several miles of ATV/Walking trails and you are welcome to bring your own ATV.
Into fishing? Grab your fishing poles and walk to a secret tunnel that goes under Hwy 89 and go trout fishing in the Sevier river. Or, about 7 miles South of our place you can connect to the old Hwy 89 road which will take you to several fishing spots along the Sevier river. Make sure you get a fishing license first.
There is no public transportation available in Hatch or Panguitch. You will need your own vehicle. Highway 89 (note speed limit is 65 mph) can be at times a very busy highway in the summer, driveway is accessed directly off of Hwy. 89. Parking is on our gravel driveway, which can accommodate small to medium-sized RV's (up to 35 FT). Note if you are planning to arrive after dark there may be deer and other animals crossing the roads, please drive carefully.
Two private entrances, front and back of house. Off-street parking in gravel driveway. The cabin is set back about 100 feet away from Hwy 89.
Guest manual is located inside the cabin on top of the refrigerator as well as 2 flashlights. If you arrive after dark you should expect that it will be very dark unless there is good moonlight, it's a good idea to bring and keep your own flashlight with you in your car during your stay.
The front porch has a solar security light that should automatically turn on when it detects motion. There are also outdoor solar lights surrounding the exterior of the house. If in Hawaii during your stay my Mom Jeannie and her husband David will be your local hosts.
- Non-smoking indoors. Discrete outside smoking allowed.
- Regarding pets, only dogs are allowed. Dogs are not allowed on any furniture. Cleanup after your dog around the outside yard area.
- Leave shoes next to the front door entrance.
- Turn the generator off when you are not home.
- Please drive slowly on the driveway and parking area.
- Not recommended for children under 5 years of age, our cabin is not childproof.
We live in Hawaii however, my Mom Jeannie and her husband David live 1-mile down Hwy. 89, they will be your local co-hosts. Jeannie and David upon request can meet you in person to give you a short tour of the cabin and show you how to operate the generator and answer any questions you might have. However, please watch our self check-in video, that should answer most of your questions and will guide you through how everything works.
Check-in: 3:00pm, Check-out: 11:00am, 1-night minimum
Location: The address is 6410 South Hwy 89, Panguitch, Utah, however if you search this address using Apple Maps it is incorrect (use Google Maps). Coming from the South our place is 5-miles past the town of Hatch. If you are coming from the North our place is 3-miles past the turn off for Scenic Byway 12. Our cabin is set back from the road but has a U.S. flag flying out front that you can see from the highway. Another thing to keep an eye out for are the wagon wheels, and address posts near the driveway entrance (as seen in our photos). It's definitely easier to find during the day than at night. If you drive past don't worry just look for place to turn around alongside of the highway, but please be careful as it is a 65mph highway, so don't rush, wait for oncoming cars to pass.
